This research confirms other research findings that for the majority of leadership competencies, both masculine and feminine expressions of the competencies are perceived to be equally effective.
However, the story is not that simple. We found that to be an effective leader, you need to adapt your behaviors based on your audience, your approach and your gender, simultaneously.
